Sunday is race day and the atmosphere is buzzing. You can feel the excitement as tension builds through the morning.
Celebrities, media and VIP’s are out in force and the strain on each driver’s face is visible.
And once the race begins there is nowhere else you want to be.

2015 kehrte die Formel 1 nach 23 Jahren wieder nach Mexico City zurück. Und obwohl das Rennen am Circuit Hermanos Rodriguez ohne die berühmt-berüchtigte Peraltada Kurve auskommen muss, behält es doch die typische Atmosphäre für die der Grand Prix von Mexico bekannt ist.
Das Highlight der Strecke ist wahrscheinlich der Stadion Bereich, wo die Strecke durch ein mit enthusiastischen Fans voll besetztes Baseball Stadion führt.

Eine große Herausforderung ist die Höhenlage. Die Strecke befindet sich in einer Höhe von 2200m über dem Meeresspiegel, was einen großen Verlust an Motorleistung bedeutet.

Mexico City ist mit ca. 23 Millionen Einwohnern eine der größten Städte der Welt. Es ist eine fantastische Metropole, mit ausgezeichnetem Essen (vor allem Street Food) und freundlichen Bewohnern.

Ein „Must“ ist der Besuch des Stadtzentrums (Zócalo) mit den Ruinen des Maya-Tempels Tenochtitlán, sowie der 50km entfernt gelegenen Pyramide von Teotihuacan.
