<div>For the first time F1 tried&nbsp; a new format over the weekend: the qualifying for Saturday´s Sprint Qualifying&nbsp; saw Hamilton on pole. The first Sprint qualifying over 17 laps ( 100km) turned out to be very intersting. Verstappen won because of a very bad start of Hamilton. There was a lot of action in the back: Alonso, Vettel and Raikkonen improoved their starting position for Sunday´s GP a lot while Perez found himself on the back of the grid after he spun...&nbsp; Verstappen and Hamilton fighted for the lead in the frist corners - when Lewis drove into Max´s back tyer the Dutch found&nbsp; himself in the barriers&nbsp; after a 51 G impact. The race was stopped, Max came out of his damaged car and had to go for medical checks and Lewis got a 10 second penalty. Charles Leclerc leaded the race until two laps to go when Hamilton passed him in Cops corner exactly where he had the crash with Max before. Finally Lewis won his 8th British GP and 99th GP in front of 140.000 fans. Behind&nbsp; Leclerc finished Bottas as 3rd . in front of the two McLarens of Norris and Ricciardo&nbsp; Inside the championship points were&nbsp; Sainz, Alonso, Stroll, Ocon und Tsunoda. Verstappen leads the championship with 8 points before the next event in Budapest..</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><br>
