When both Mercedes ended up in P1 and P2 in qualifying everybody was surprised .... It started raining before the start of the race and Valtteri Bottas crashed in the back of Lando Norris after a bad start and took out both Red Bulls.... only Verstappen was able to continue with a very damaged car. In the second corner Stroll drove into Leclerc which was the end of the race for both. After a red flag only Lewis Hamilton started from the grid - the rest changed to slicks. After one racelap Hamilton found himself on the last position after his pitstop and staretd a very good race which brought him to position 3 on the podium. Esteban Ocon won his very first race for Alpine ahead of Sebastian Vettel. At 10pm the German  was disqualified as his Aston Martin had only 0,3 l fuel left instead of 1 l as per regualtion. This means that Hamilton went to 2, Sainz to 3 followed by Alonso, Gassly and Tsunoda. Williams made the first points since ages with Latifi 7th ahead of Russel. Verstappen ended up disappointed 9th in front of Kimi Raikönnen. Hamilton leads the championship now with 195 points in front of Verstappen with 187 - as the Dutch only managed to score 2 points in the past two events. The next race will be after summer break on August 27th to 29th in Spa Francorchamps.
