After the only three official test days in Bahrain one thing was for sure: Red Bull Racing‘s new 2023 contender will be the car to beat in 2023. As well in qualifying practices as in racing simulation the new Red Bull car was by far the best. No wonder how the first race weekend ended: Max Verstappen dominated the qualification as well as all the race and cruised to an easy win headed of team mate Sergio Perez. Aston Martin did the biggest step forward and Fernando Alonso was very promising in all practice sessions and drove a superb race passing Carlos Sainz (Ferrari) and Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) to end up on the podium as third. Teammate Lance Stroll finished 6th ahead of the second Mercedes of George Russel. Valtteri Bottas made all Alfa Romeo ( Sauber) Fans happy finishing 8th ahead of&nbsp;<div>Pierre Gasly for his new team Alpine. Alex Albon took the very first point for Williams finishing 10th. The losers of the season start were McLaren who did not get their act together and Alpha Tauri. Haas used to be quick in al sessionsbut were unlucky in the race. Charles Leclerc‘s Ferrari stopped because of a technical issue.</div><div>There is not a lot of time for up dates until the next event in Saudi.</div>
